Sandwich French Market

Ah the weekend has arrived again, and as usual I got not enough sleep and a wake up call from early risers! (I mean seriously, when will they learn to sleep longer on a weekend?! All I want is a lay in... Surely that's not too Much to ask??)

We decided to head over to Sandwich (Kent) a picturesque town along the south east Kent coast and check out the visiting French market. It did not disappoint. Even the kids (who tend to moan a lot on any outing) enjoyed it!

I highly recommend visiting when it's on.

The sun wasn't out but it was extremely warm, which bought out a lot of visitors to the area.  When we arrived some of the roads were closed due to street parties being held in favour of the Queens birthday so traffic was quite bad and parking spaces were limited. We eventually managed to get a good space really near the market and began our wander round.

These baskets are probably one of my favorate things, ever! So handy, and so utterly chic.
The market was filled with food stalls, and being a family of foodies, we really enjoyed walking round this part, croissant in hand!

We ended up walking out of the market and up towards the quay area of Sandwich. It is such a lovely place to walk around, plenty of quaint little shops, houses and a lovely little park to keep the little ones happy. Luckily enough I packed a little blanket so when we needed a little pit stop we set up on the green next to the canal and opposite the park!
There are some lovely little resturants, pubs, fish and chip shops all around the town and along the quay side, so if you were feeling a bit more adventures you could spend a substantial part of your day here waking around and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Obviously I needed the perfect mum blogger outfit for the day so here it is! Gap mom (dress) and Kurt Gieger shoes... obvs!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Lo XO
